This transportation hub was designed to serve as both a bus station and an Amtrak station. It takes place in Oxford, Ohio in the Artz Park. The concept for this design is taken from the triangular shape of the site. The design consists of four triangular canopies joined at the center, spanning from the bus stop to the railroad tracks. Three of the canopies are open-air and contain benches / bike racks, the fourth canopy is enclosed and contains an accessible bathroom and a maintenance closet.
CUSTOM BENCH / BIKE RACK
Using Fusion 360, I designed this bench specifically for this project. The purpose is this bench is that it doubles as a bike rack in order to provide ample bike storage for commuters while not wasting space and providing seating.
